And in fact, this was even made more pointed by an early potential investor in the company, and they said, "You know what I love about Oxide? You’re anti-cloud."

And we think, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, pal. We are not anti-cloud. We are not anti-public cloud either. You wouldn’t necessarily use Oxide instead of the public cloud, but you may use it to supplement what you’re running in the public cloud. There are those folks, of course, who need to run exclusively on-prem and want the modernity that they can have in the public cloud.

Those folks may use it instead of the public cloud. But for most folks, they’re gonna be augmenting what they’re doing in the public cloud. So why would you do that? Why would you run on-prem? And there are a bunch of reasons. First and foremost, economics. That cloud, that public cloud’s amazing, but it’s expensive, and it adds up in a hurry.

But there are other reasons, too. Could be latency. You wanna be closer to your customers. You wanna be in different POPs. You have different point of presence. You wanna be in a geographical location that doesn’t have a public cloud associated with it. Could be because of regulatory compliance. A regulator needs me to be in this state or this locale.

Data needs to stay resident here. Lots of reasons to run on-prem, but you don’t wanna give up the modernity of the cloud when you’re running on-prem. And for that, you want an Oxide rack.
