I blame my sister for this. My sister got me hooked on Diet Coke in the summer after my freshman year in college.

They changed Coke, so they came out with New Coke. It was a disaster. And it did, I think it tasted worse. I think, like a lot of people, think it tasted worse.

They reintroduce Coke as Coke Classic and they had New Coke. New Coke and Diet Coke don’t taste at all alike.

People who grew up on Diet Coke continue to drink Diet Coke because once you get accustomed to the relatively lower level of sweetness in the taste, that tastes super, super sweet to me. It tastes like Coke, but it tastes super sweet.
