Oxide has built a vertically integrated, rack-level cloud computer, delivering the efficiencies, automation, and developer experience of the cloud in a form that businesses can own. We’re seeking a Solutions Architect Leader to serve as a senior technical voice in customer engagements, with prospects, and with partners.

As a Solutions Architect Leader working at Oxide you will:

  • Serve as Oxide’s executive-level technical representative with CIOs, CTOs, and boards, delivering compelling presentations, keynotes, and strategy sessions. Position Oxide as the long-term platform partner for enterprise modernization by engaging at the highest levels of customer organizations and building trust through strategic technical leadership.

  • Provide architectural direction for major customer programs and initiatives while leading executive workshops around AI infrastructure, hybrid cloud, and datacenter modernization. Drive customer alignment to Oxide’s product roadmap by translating complex technical capabilities into strategic business value for enterprise transformation.

  • Partner with Marketing and Product to publish thought leadership content, whitepapers, and conference presentations that establish Oxide’s market position. Represent Oxide at industry events and analyst briefings to build brand recognition and credibility in the enterprise infrastructure space.

  • Provide field insight back to Product and Engineering teams to shape roadmap decisions based on real customer needs and market dynamics. Mentor Solutions Architects and Solutions Software Engineers on enterprise engagement strategies while helping shape repeatable go-to-market messaging and narratives.

  • Ensure Oxide is positioned as a strategic partner at the executive level in target accounts with messaging that resonates across both technical and business audiences from boardrooms to data centers.

  • Elevate the Oxide brand by being seen as a trusted peer to CIOs and CTOs, accelerating deals through executive-level relationship building and strategic alignment.

You will thrive in this role if you:

  • Have 12+ years in enterprise infrastructure, cloud, or systems leadership roles; prior experience as CTO, Chief Architect, or as a senior technical executive strongly preferred.

  • Possess deep expertise across cloud, compute, storage, and security architectures with a proven track record of executive-level customer engagement and influencing large technology decisions.

  • Have exceptional communication, presentation, and storytelling abilities combined with strong business orientation that enables you to link technology vision to business value effectively.

  • Are comfortable working in startup and scale-up environments with the pace and ambiguity that comes with building a generational company.

  • Have hands-on keyboard experience as a platform or enterprise architect with direct involvement in architecting and executing cloud migrations including preparation, planning, and execution phases.

  • Are familiar with application rationalization and disposition strategies such as retire, refactor, and lift-and-shift approaches with proven ability to lead execution phases and convince leadership teams to back critical migration strategies.

  • Understand both cloud and on-premises infrastructure realities deeply and can navigate the complexities of enterprise technology transformation.

  • Get excited about being the senior technical voice shaping billion-dollar enterprise transformations and working alongside world-class engineers and executives.

  • Take responsibility for representing technical excellence at the highest levels and building lasting strategic partnerships.

  • Don’t mind coworkers getting really excited about decades-old computers.

Most of our team are based outside of the Bay Area. We do ask that your workday overlaps with Pacific Time for at least four hours.

Compensation

This role consists of base salary + commission. Other roles at Oxide make $235,000 USD with no commission component regardless of location.
